Police request dash cam, witnesses re Oct. 1 crash on Hwy 17A

Delta Police are searching for anyone who may have dashcam footage that captured a slow moving farm vehicle travelling northbound around 9:30 pm along Hwy. 17A on October 1.

At 9:38 pm that night a Delta resident was driving northbound along the 4500 block of Highway 17A, and crashed into the rear of the farm vehicle. Unfortunately she was declared deceased at the scene.

“Police are searching for any drivers with dashcam footage who were also travelling northbound at that time, or witnesses who haven’t yet spoken to police.” says Cris Leykauf, spokesperson for Delta Police. “This is the area of Highway 17A that is essentially right across from Delta city hall.”

If you have dashcam footage, or witnessed the collision or events leading up to the collision and haven’t spoken to police, please call 604-946-4411 and ask to speak with Cst. St. Arnaud.
