News Release

Delta, BC – Delta Police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred on 64th Avenue near the Hwy 91 on-ramp.

On September 6th at approximately 04:33 am, Delta Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 10600 block of 64th Avenue. A victim was located at scene with a minor, non-life-threatening injury and was subsequently transported to hospital in stable condition.

A suspect vehicle was identified as a grey Kia Forte which fled the area prior to police arrival. Police believe this is an isolated incident with no ongoing risk to the public. Police are actively investigating this incident and currently the 10600 block of 64th Avenue is closed in all directions.

Anyone with more information, including dash cam footage around the area of 64th Avenue between 04:00 am and 04:45 am, is asked to contact the Delta Police at 604-946-4411.
