Weekend Mill Fire in Delta

Shortly after 1 am on April 7th, 2024, the Delta Police Department (DPD) received a request for assistance from the Delta Fire Department (DFD) in relation to a fire at a lumber mill in the 9300 block of Alaska Way, Delta.

DPD officers provided scene security while firefighters extinguished the fire.  Following extinguishment, DPD officers have remained on scene for security, and to investigate to determine the cause of the fire.

There were no injuries from this fire.

The investigation is still in its early stages and a cause of the fire started has yet to be determined.  Arson investigators will remain on scene for a lengthy period to continue their investigation.
