News Release

File 2022-19054

On August 25th, 2022 at 4:05 pm the Delta Police Department responded to a vehicle collision in the 6600 block of 3rd Avenue that involved a pedestrian.  A 34 year old woman was transported to hospital with serious injuries.  Collision investigators conducted an extensive scene analysis. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene.

Update:

Although serious injuries did occur to the pedestrian's hand and lower leg, the injuries are not considered life threatening.

The investigation continues to determine the cause of the collision but alcohol and drug impairment do not appear to be contributing factors at this time.

The driver, a non-Delta resident, is not in custody and no charges have been sworn to date.
