News Release Update - Shooting Victim Passes Away

On December 14th, 2023, at approximately 5:45 PM, members of the Delta Police Department (DPD) responded to the report of a shooting located in the 11100 block of 82nd Ave. Upon arrival, a single victim was located suffering from injuries sustained in the shooting. The victim was transported to a hospital and provided emergency care. Members of the DPD Major Crime Section (MCS) assumed the investigation at the time of the shooting.
The victim of the shooting has died of the injuries sustained. This investigation is now a homicide investigation.
As reported on December 15th, 2023, this homicide was targeted, and the victim is known to police. At the request of the family, the DPD will not be identifying the victim publicly.
