Partnerships
- BC Law Enforcement Diversity Network (BCLEDN)
BCLEDN is a standing sub-committee of the BC Association of Chiefs of Police. It is comprised of BC law enforcement partner agencies (including the Canadian Armed Forces) and is focused on community diversity issues and the education of fellow officers.
Initiatives
- Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED) program. This program facilitates cooperation between developers, builders, municipal planning department and police to prevent diverse problems by planning the physical design, layouts and location to eliminate or reduce opportunities for crime. The officer sits as a liaison for the Delta Advisory Planning Commission and the Advisory Design Panel as well as reviewing development and building applications
In addition to coordinating crime prevention programs the Community Relations officer acts as the Liquor Liaison officer. This responsibility includes reviewing Special Occasion Licence applications for public events that have been submitted for approval and acting as a liaison between police and the Liquor Control and Licensing Branch.
